Raintree Classic

The final round of the Raintree Classic turned into a three man shootout and the
shooting had not finished at the end of regulation play. Aaron Summers of Floyd,
VA beat Derek Brown of Walnut Cove, NC on the third hole of sudden death. Both
players ended the day at ten under par after 54 holes. Summers shed his "also
ran" status with his first Genesis Tour victory of the season.

Taylor Joins Staff
2007 Big Break Competitor Kevin Taylor joins the Genesis Tour staff for 2008 as
Assistant Tournament Director along with Derek Brown. Taylor had a good showing
in last seasons Big Break, but hopes to spend more time playing in 2008. Taylor
said "I am really looking forward to working with Paul and his staff and I can't wait to
start playing again".

Former Big Break contestant Kevin Taylor of Mocksville, NC won his second event of the season by
carding a final round 69 at the Bermuda Run Open today. Taylor basically played it close to the vest as he
had only one bogey on his card. Taylor said "I played fairly well all week, not a lot of birdies but I stayed
away from the big number". When asked about the new management he said "I really am looking forward
to the future. Right now want to complete the fall schedule and really concentrate on the winter seriesand
2009".
Tour money leader Derek Brown of Walnut Cove, NC came in second this week and another Big Break
former contestant Matt Vick of Franklin, TN came in third.

The Genesis Tour announced today that a new board of directors
has been selected and the Tour will operate under new
management as of September 3,2008. The details will be posted
here very shortly.
The new management will begin operating at the Bermuda Run
Open which begins next week. All currently scheduled events will
remain the same and the completed 2008 schedule will be posted
soon. Full details will be made public on this website as soon as
possible.
